Choices, Decisions, Expectation, Thoughts

We all have decisions to make. We all have choices.

When it comes to making a decision, deep down, we really know what we are going to choose. But if you are ever in a bind and need some help, this trick works every time.

CoinToss

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin.
It works not because it settles the question for you, but because,
in that brief moment when the coin is in the air, you suddenly
know what you are hoping for.

Questions

Do you ask enough questions? Or do you settle for what you know?

Probably the best method for personal growth is to test what we think we know. If it holds up, great. If not, find a new truth.

It all starts with a question.

Have a great day everyone.

The Quality of Our Thought

Charles F. Haanel, presence, Thoughts

Thought is creative vibration and the quality of the conditions created will depend upon the quality of our thought, because we cannot express powers which we do not possess. We must “be” before we can “do” and we can “do” only to the extent to which we “are,” and so what we do will necessarily coincide with what we “are” and what we are depends upon what we “think.”

JDPlacebo02A couple years ago, I read Christian D. Larson’s The Ideal Made Real (1912). It’s about purposely creating a life—the ideal life—in your mind first, and through conscious focus, making that ideal life become your world, your reality.

When I started reading Dr. Joe Dispenza’s You Are the Placebo (released April, 2014), I was immediately reminded of Larson’s book. There is one huge and significant difference, though. Dispenza cites source upon source to back up what he writes about. Larson did not have this luxury when he published his book; there just weren’t that many studies going on that he could cite for proof to back up what he was espousing.

Excerpt from “Be Who You Want to Be by Realizing You’re Not Who You Think,” by Melinda Csikos, posted on Tiny Buddha.

I believe we all go through dark phases when our image of ourselves breaks and we start thinking less of ourselves. This phase can pass after some time if we let it, but if we insist on clinging to the picture of ourselves in our minds, it will be harder to get through it.

The good news is: you are whoever you choose to be.

It’s not a coincidence that all the great spiritual masters spoke about detaching from our thoughts. Our thoughts do not represent reality. We are the ones who choose to believe that they are real, when, in fact, they have nothing to do with reality.

No matter what situation life presents us, we can always choose to view ourselves the way we want.

You can either view yourself as a victim or as the hero who lived through all the controversy. It’s all a matter of perspective.

Watch your thoughts; they become your words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
