From Bruce Lipton’s “What are Your Perceptions Today?”

“…the belief that one has “bad genes” can itself actually create a “bad” protein from a good gene. Also, the “belief” that “I cannot heal myself” can also interfere with our own ability to heal our selves. The problem…we rarely observe our own subconscious behaviors, therefore we almost never understand that we [are] unknowingly engaging in behaviors that are limiting and self-sabotaging to our biology.  Because we are unaware of these behaviors, when we have problems in health and relationships we rarely do we recognize that we were involved with creating them.”

An excerpt from A Healing Tool That Most Doctors Have Forgotten, by Nick Polizzi on The Sacred Science

Have you ever had a strange feeling that…

– A loved one was in trouble
– You needed to eat a specific food or take a certain herb or supplement
– There was something unsafe or otherwise “off” about a certain person or place

…that ended up being spot-on?

JDPlacebo02A couple years ago, I read Christian D. Larson’s The Ideal Made Real (1912). It’s about purposely creating a life—the ideal life—in your mind first, and through conscious focus, making that ideal life become your world, your reality.

When I started reading Dr. Joe Dispenza’s You Are the Placebo (released April, 2014), I was immediately reminded of Larson’s book. There is one huge and significant difference, though. Dispenza cites source upon source to back up what he writes about. Larson did not have this luxury when he published his book; there just weren’t that many studies going on that he could cite for proof to back up what he was espousing.

Here’s the short version…

Treat your subconscious mind like an unruly, stubborn child by telling it (kindly) what you want and it will carry out your “orders.” This post is about remembering your dreams (for those who have lost this “ability”). By telling your subconscious that you want to remember your dreams, you will remember them. There is a catch, though: you must be very specific in your wording and what you want from your subconscious.

Bruce Lipton’s Biology of Belief is an incredible piece of work. I found it on Youtube a month ago.

Now, I’m not really versed in biology, or science in general, but I couldn’t pull myself away from his video.

He’s rather a fast talker, so he demands full attention. If you can sit through it all (it’s a little over an hour long), the light bulbs going off will seem like fireworks. He spends the first ten minutes setting everything up; follow all that, and you’re golden.

But there’s a part two to this subject, and that’s found in another video by Rob Williams (about one hour, thirteen minutes). He takes what Bruce sets up and ties it all together. Again, a great video.

Enjoy.

I covered the background to Affirmations in Part I, and the structure of them in Part II. If you haven’t already, I urge you to read those posts first.

The short of the When and Where affirmations can be done is this: anytime and anywhere. So long as they can be safely done, that is. I’m especially referring to driving while you’re mind is on affirmations. Be careful.

If you haven’t caught Part I, please do so as it sets the stage for creating affirmations.

NeuronsThere are a lot of resources on the Internet on the subject of affirmations. Some are great, some esoteric, but almost all get the job done. And that job is to change a person’s behavior, thoughts or beliefs through thinking certain thoughts, by using affirmations.

An affirmation is just a phrase that, repeated often enough, can change a person’s behavior, thoughts or beliefs. It can be argued that these three things are essentially one, but I won’t go there for this post. I’ll keep them separate for now, but just put it in the back of your mind that these items all relate to one another.

Affirmations I – Beliefs

There’s a line in the movie Dragonfly: Belief gets you there.

Here’s another popular quote along the same line: Ability is what gives you the opportunity; belief is what gets you there.

Ability refers to your skills, things you’ve learned from school, college, your parents, your job, etc..

The sources for beliefs are a little more difficult to nail down.

Basically, beliefs are formed and developed from everything you’ve experienced and that has influenced you your entire life leading up to the point where you are right now.

Let me repeat and emphasize a couple things: everything and entire life.

Everything refers to all things you either consciously or subconsciously take in.

And it’s cumulative.
